Getting started
Is CutCrew out?
Yes. It’s on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. The Android version is being built, with no date set, and we’re looking for Android beta testers now.
How long is the free trial?
30 days, whole crew included. After that you pick a plan in the app.
I work alone. Is this still for me?
Yes. Basic covers it, unless you want customers paying invoices by link.
Do I need to install anything on a computer?
No. You run CutCrew from your iPhone or iPad. Your crew installs the same app and signs in with a texted code.
Plans and pricing
What does it cost?
Basic is $29 a month, Premium $39, and Pro $49. What’s in each plan.
Is there a per-seat fee?
No. Every plan covers the whole crew, 1 to 10 people, at one monthly price. Adding a fourth employee doesn’t change the price.
Can I change plans?
Yes, in the app under Billing. Moving up takes effect right away; moving down takes effect at your next renewal. Cancel any time.
What is the platform fee on Premium?
When a customer pays an invoice by link on Premium, 1% of that payment goes to CutCrew on top of Stripe’s processing fee. Pro has no platform fee.
Is tax export in every plan?
Yes. The quarterly accountant export, receipt photos plus a Schedule C CSV, is in Basic, Premium, and Pro.
Founding crews
What is a founding crew?
The first 10 businesses on each platform lock their price for life: the plan they start on stays their price for the life of that subscription. The founding offer has the details, and Terms §4 has the definition.
Do I have to do anything to get a founding seat?
No. There’s no code and nothing to sign. Seats are counted from our subscription records in the order subscriptions start.
What if I switch plans, cancel, or sell the business?
The founding price applies to the plan you start on and to the one business account that subscribed during the founding window. Switching plans is at that plan’s then-current price. It ends if the account is closed or the subscription lapses for more than 30 days, and subscribing again later is at the then-current price. It doesn’t move to another business the same owner opens, or to a new owner if the business is sold.
The crew
What does my crew see?
The Clock tab with one button, a Receipts tab with a camera, the repair videos for their machines*, and who’s on today. They don’t see rates, pay, invoices, or anyone’s hours but their own. What the crew sees.
Does it work without signal?
Yes. Punches and receipts are saved on the phone first and sync when there’s signal. The punch time is the moment they pressed the button.
Can my crew change their hours?
No. A punch is never rewritten. CutCrew flags anything odd for you to review, you fix it in one tap, and every correction is logged with who made it and when.
